Our Elementary Science taught us that: “A catalyst is a substance or an element that initiates or accelerates a chemical reaction, without itself being affected or being part of the end product…..”””
Lots of sane and intelligent Nigerians agreed that our system is flawed; from the laws, constitution, governance, public service et al., Most of these group of people would rather talk in hushed tones behind closed doors, than come out and speak. It’s a case of see no evil, hear no evil. Hypocrites!
Some of these lots have clamored for “Restructuring”. Some said “we need to Restructure our minds” (which Prof Soyinka described as Intellectual dishonesty). When you ask them what steps they’ve taken for it to be realized they start looking at you like a Sheep. But they’ll be at the forefront of attacking those either clamoring for it or went further to ask for a secession. You’ll hear fables like: “I don’t like Mr. Kanu’s strategy”, “I don’t like his style” and other crappies, which of course I agree they’re inalienably entitled to. But when you go further to ask them: Ok, what can we do? They go dumb or start staring into empty spaces. You should only criticize someone when you are doing something similar or better in achieving same or similar goals. The only reason China can make noise is because they can do almost anything “Almighty” U.S does.
Mr. Kanu remains a catalyst for that which you sought for, he wants a situation where governance will be given back to the people and not to some few overlords. You’ll hear or read funny bants like: “He should’ve allowed the intellectuals to handle it”- When you ask them who an intellectual is, and where have they been all these while-  their jaws drop and they stand detached.
The worse set of people against this movement I’m disgusted at, are those Nigerians that live in the Western world and in advanced democracies. After eating a piece of doughnut and 4Litres of coke soda, thinking they just had a balanced diet- they come behind their keyboard using free Internet provided by that country’s government and start spewing trash and fighting against the liberation of their home country. These set of people forgot that if not for catalyst in the likes of Harris Thubman, Martin Luther King Jr etc, they wouldn’t have been able to even stand “freely” in front of Empire Building to take a photo shoot.
The great Zik of Africa; Nnamdi Azikiwe, aside Nigeria, for example was a catalyst in liberating many African countries like Ghana (using Kwame Nkruma), Tanzania(using Julius Nyerere) and to some extent South Africa. Nelson Mandela, on the behest of Zik, once fled South Africa for Enugu, Nigeria – when SA, was too hot for him and he lived in Enugu for many months strategizing with Zik and his men. That catalytic action was to later spread like tsunamic waves across Africa and countries were liberated.
Yesterday, I posted about the possibility of most blacks suffering from a “rare disease”. You’ll agree with me when you read posts from supposed educated peeps and hear piffle; where they blamed the dead and the tortured, while giving our soldiers a pat on the back for a job well done. How can you make the dead appear like the aggressor then make the culprit and murderer the hero?
I can make bold to say that if genealogical research is carried out you’ll find out there’d be higher chances that the successful Blacks in present day America came from the lineages of the Harris Thubmans and Martin Luther King Jrs of this world. While those that sag their Jeans and sell crack on the streets of America could come from those Blacks that insulted, criticized and didn’t believe in Harris, Martin Luther Jr etc.
Thumbs up to Mr. Kanu, I knew him as far back as 2012, infact you won’t believe he was forced out of the online Igbo group we all belong to. Why because some saw his views as foreign and strange. Whenever he made a post on that group that has tens of thousands of Igbos from both East and West of the Niger, you’ll know that someone made a post. That post will trend for days unending. We should also not forget that this same vilified Mr. Kanu, in 2012, in the British Capital, London, organized one of the biggest pro-Nigeria rallies against Boko Haram insurgency. Making sure the world powers were propelled and rendered help. How patriotic can that be? You as a pro-Nigerian can you tell me one patriotic thing you’ve done? Other than waiting for elections to come as quickly as possible so that you do “Boys Oyeeeee” for a few wads of worthless Naira notes.
He didn’t sit like a lame duck and complain as we all did and still doing, he took a step further by setting up a radio station that broadcasts his views to the world. He has been able to attract millions of followers across the world even beyond his neck of the woods, religious and ethnic standings. I’m predicting that Professors and top scholars in Social Engineering across various Universities in the world, will go further in studying him and how he could pull such crowds without giving them food or money.
I stand with all peoples across the world that want freedom and self governance; From Quebec in Canada to Catalonia and Valencia in Spain, Lugansk, North Kosovo, Galicia, Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Basque Country & Navarre, I stand with Republic of West Papua, State of Judea, Greater Patani State (the Malays in Thailand), I stand with the Kurds all over in their proposed Kurdistan, I stand with California and all others…. Then I stand with the Land of the Rising Sun that dispels darkness.‎
