A group, Good Circle International Organisation, GCIO is set to host past Presidents of Nigeria, the National Assembly and others in a Charity and Poverty Alleviation Forum scheduled to hold on June 19,2018 at the International Conference Centre Abuja.
The forum with theme “Combating poverty  and crime in Nigeria through emergency Charity and Poverty alleviation methods”, will be one of the first of such fora holding in Nigeria.
This is a follow up to the successfully held  GCIO Charity Day and Agric Forum in Asaba on December 6th,2017 that had Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as Special Guest of Honour among other dignitaries.
According to the President of Good Circle International Organisation, Engr. Esanerovo Agbodo, the forum is planned to bring to the forefront once again how to tackle the issue of rising poverty and crime rate in
our society through communal efforts from both leaders, the well to do and other citizens.
“The forum will be used to proffer solutions to reduce poverty and crime in Nigeria and after then ,GCIO and it’s National and International partners will kick off a nationwide poverty alleviation
projects to affect all citizens irrespective of ethnic and religious inclinations.

We have commenced a cooperative agricultural programme in Asaba as well as a free ICT training to empower Nigerian youths but to keep pace and tackle the huge unemployment rate, there is the need for men of conscience to see how more poverty alleviation strategies can be evolved to help the country.

If we wait for either federal and state governments as well as the organised private sectors alone to follow their bureaucracies, we may not keep pace with stopping the fast spreading unemployment rate and corresponding despondency and criminality being experienced today in Nigeria. We need to help urgently in creating more job opportunities to rescue the future of Nigerians.
In fact, most of the crises in Nigeria today can be traced to high unemployment rate and poverty and once we are able to arrest this duo, we are good to go to higher heights”
“We respect and honour leaders in our culture as Africans and we believe that they can be of help in dire need like the situation of Nigeria today. We believe they can help to rescue the society, especially youths from being distracted into negative tendencies due to lack of jobs through their wisdom and support .
Yes, the unemployment rate in Nigeria is high today and for the country not to lose her youths to unpatriotic acts just to survive, there is the need for an urgent approach and that is the reason we are
calling all stakeholders including this current government and past presidents to find lasting solution to the problem,” he said.
