Gov. Dickson’s Political Adviser, Aide kidnapped, in Bayelsa- Police

Less than 12 hours after Gov Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa declared his interest for a second term Mr Fyneman Wilson Special Adviser to Bayelsa Governor on Political matters was in the early hours of Wednesday kidnapped in Sagbama, a Suburb in Bayelsa.

Wilson was reportedly abducted along with his Personal Assistant at his residence in Sagbama Local Government Area of the state.

The kidnap is suspected to be linked to hitches in the disbursement of funds for hiring the crowd that graced the governor’s campaign rally attended by former President Goodlck Jonathan, Dame Patience and Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha.

Mr Asinim Butswat, ASP, Police Spokesman confirmed the development to our Correspondent in Yenagoa on Wednesday.

“At about 0400hrs, five unknown gunmen went to the residence of   Hon Wilson Fyneman at Sagbama Town, in Sagbama LGA, and abducted him with his Personal Assistant Mr Fred, to an unknown destination.

“The Marine Police,JTF and the Anti kidnapping unit have been alerted. Efforts have been intensified to rescue the victims and arrest the abductors. Investigation is ongoing,” The Police Spokesman said.

Several kidnap incidents had occurred in quick successions within the past few weeks including the abduction of three monarchs who are still held by their abductors.
