Bayelsa governor upgrades Abuja liaison office, appoints Ikiogha as head

In view of the increasing engagements and official programmes of His Excellency, the Governor of Bayelsa State in the Nation’s Federal Capital as well as the strategic nature of these engagements to the conduct of government’s business, His Excellency, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson has approved the upgrading of the Bayelsa State Liaison office with immediate effect.

Accordingly, in line with this upgrade, His Excellency has approved the immediate transfer of Chief Diekivie Ikiogha, to head the new Abuja office so as to meet up with the high responsibility and demand of the new office.

The appointment takes immediate effect.

His Excellency expresses confidence in the ability of Chief Ikiogha to transform the liaison office to match its new status and this is based on his wealth of experience as a politician and public servant.

Similarly, His Excellency has approved the appointment of Dame (Mrs.) Didi Walson-Jack as the new Chief of Staff, Government House, Yenagoa. His Excellency is confident that her rich civil service background will stand her in good stead in effectively repositioning the administration of Government House.
