Late Dr Igwe Aja-Nwachukwu
The Ebonyi State government has mourned the death of its indigene and former Nigerian Minister for Education, Dr Igwe Aja Nwachukwu. In a release signed by Mr Emma Anya, the Press Secretary to the Ebonyi State Governor and made available to Africanewscircle, the state government described the late minister as a worthy son who left good marks behind.
“He was an illustrious son of our dear state who contributed in no small measure to the development of our nation. As a minister of education, he left a footprint on the nation’s education sector. As the Pro-Chancellor of the Ebonyi State University and an erudite scholar, he brought the education sector in our state to an enviable height.
We are saddened that he died at this stage of our growth as a state. We pray that God grants the repose of his soul and give the family the fortitude to bear the loss”, the release stated.
