Abductors of Bayelsa Commissioner demand N40 m ransom as Dickson’s Sister spend Christmas in Kidnappers den

Abductors of Bayelsa Commissioner for Local Government Madam Serefina Otazi have demanded for ransom of N40 million according to family sources.

Otazi, was abducted on December 20 in Otuoke on her way to Ewoi Community in Ogbia Local Government Area (LGA) for funeral at a gun point.

Mr Endurance Frank, a member of the family member said in a telephone interview on Tuesday that the kidnappers had contacted the family and demanded for a ransom of N40 million to free the victim.

Frank said that the family was relieved to hear from Otazi and appealed to the kidnappers to free her unconditionally.

Otazi had served as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Acting Chairman of Ogbia LGA.

Also the whereabouts of Governor Dickson’s Sister, Nancy Dickson abducted less than 24 hours earlier than Otazi remain unknown as the due spent Christmas in the kidnappers den
