The murderous and marauding activities of the #FulaniTerroristHerdsmen cannot be over-emphasized as long as Nigeria is concerned and still exists. The underlying intent of these Terrorists is not economic as they make people to believe, but a ploy to plunder, murder, rape and subtly enlarge their coast for an eventual conquering of our Land. The later of all these vices which if not nipped in the bud would have dire consequences. Ranches generally consist of large areas, but may be of nearly any size. Majorly for the purpose of raising cattle and processing its derivatives.

It could also engage in a limited amount of farming, raising crops for feeding the animals, such as hay and feed grains. We call on leaders in Alaigbo, Corporate bodies, business tycoons, interested individuals and investors to take advantage of the arable land in our domain and go into the ever profiting Ranch Business. Talking and taking actions are two different things. One of the only ways we could systematically send the #FulaniTerroristHerdsmen back to where they come from without firing a shot is by doing the business of Ranching ourselves. On the other hand we will continue defending ourselves in case of attack.

Thanks to the idea of bringing back the Bakassi Boys. This is achievable and rightly so. The people of Umuchu and other adjoining towns in Aguata LG, Anambra State, do not have any business buying cattle and meat from the #FulaniTerroristHerdsmen. This is because there exist a Ranch ably and profitably run by one of their own that cater for their meat needs. This action can be replicated in every nook and cranny in Alaigbo. The beautiful hills in Northern Abia and most parts of Enugu could be used for such purposes. The wonderful plains of Ebonyi, Imo, Delta and Rivers could also serve the same purpose. Aside fresh grasses, cattle enjoy eating dried grasses known as Hay. They also enjoy eating dried waste from Cassava, maize and other unconventional feeds.

Imagine having 50 of such Ranches in Alaigbo ably run and patronized by our people and tell me why we would continue buying cows and meat from murderers and rapists. This is not rocket science, it is achievable within weeks. When these #FulaniTerroristHerdsmen find out that nobody patronizes them, they’ll quietly leave our land for good. You can only flaunt your political assertiveness and prowess if you are able to adequately feed yourself. We need to start looking inwards when it comes to food security in Alaigbo. “A stitch in time saves Nine”
