Bessey Ikem
“American Mama”, a Nollywood film with award-winning Actress, Bessey Ikem, starring in the role of the same title, will soon premiere in the United States of America. Ikem, a Nollywood Actress, is based in the United States. She is originally from Nigeria and has always had a love and passion for the entertainment industry. Although her primary career is centered in business management, she continues to pursue her passion for acting, via self- studying. Her debut on the big screen came as the result of a movie shot in the US titled Busted Life produced by Chima Empire. Then she featured in a Canadian movie titled Missing Link. After that, she was featured in Hunted by Love, which was shot in the US and a Cameroonian produced movie titled Victimized. Then she got her big break through in the industry, when she received her first lead role in this feature film American Mama produced by Lion Films Production here in the States. The film is titled American Mama, which is also her title in the movie. Based on her excellent performance, she was nominated and won Best Actress Award with WMIFF 2013 regarding the movie American Mama.
