We all know that for peace to reign and for you to regain control of the rulership of your land and we all achieve the just cause in the hearts of all the peoples of Nigeria, the oil and gas in your land and waters need to either finish kpata kpata. Until it finishes, the people from Futa Jallon mountains as aptly described by your own son Alhaji Asare Dokubo and others, will never find the confidence in themselves to go their own way and form their own sovereign nation, a desire they have expressed to be in their hearts.

Their position is understandable and in did quite reasonable for the following reasons : just like yourselves and my own people of the Igbo ethnic nation and other ethnic nations of the so called Nigeria, they did not give their sovereignty to the British. The British took it by force; They did not ask to be merged with any other ethnic nation into one Country, the British forced it upon them. The consequence is that all our ethnic nations became totally dependent on the precious mineral resources in your land and waters. This dependence has been to the extent that we all ignored our previous industries and productive activities. Their groundnut pyramids and other agricultural productivity collapsed. In my Igbo land, our palm produce and cottage manufacturing endeavours collapsed. The same happened all over the so called Nigeria.

It would therefore be honestly unfair and quite unbearable for them to have their mouths removed from this essential breast milk of your mineral resources. This applies to all the peoples of this so called Nigeria, but more so for the peoples of the borders with Chad and Niger Republics due to their peculiarity. Those people do not have much education amongst their masses, and though that is by their deliberate choice, they know they will find it very tough to survive alone in this modern world as they are.

It is also a fact that at the end of the civil war, these same people from the borders of Chad and Niger Republics stole ownership of your mineral resources by: assigning the ownership of those resources to themselves and non to your people the natural owners of the resources; creating a sharing formula that took no cognisance of your natural ownership of the resources or of the hardship the mining of those minerals brought upon your people. In did, they brutally enforced the change of the sharing formula from 50% to yourselves the owners as was the case prior to July 1967, to 1% by the stroke of a pen, machine guns, artillery, bombs, rockets, starvation, Asaba type mass murder of civilians, etc. No doubt Yakubu Gowon was very brutal in his efforts to take ownership of your mineral resources, and brazenly also betrayed his promises to your son Isaac Adaka Boro as we read.

But we must move on as the future is infinitely greater than the past. Since the only reason those peoples of the borders of Chad and Niger Republics need to remain in a union of any sort with your people and my people is their acute dependency on those mineral resources of your land and waters, at the Sovereign National Conference, we propose to put forward an offer to those peoples to accept to establish their own sovereign nation, and in return you let them keep their share of the proceeds of your mineral resources and you keep your share of the proceeds of their mineral resources for 500 years from January 2014 when the 100 year amalgamation of Nigeria shall end. This shall be in the form of a treaty enforced by the United Nations Security Council. After 500 years, the treaty shall end.

In this proposal we see a peaceful and reasonable and practical achievement of the just cause in the hearts of all the various peoples of the so called Nigeria as expressed through their insistence on a Sovereign National Conference.

Do you agree with this proposal, and if not why. Such discuss is part of the SNC. Club Nigeria Rise up lawfully or be oppressed unlawfully!
