The Online Publishers Association of Nigeria (OPAN) has warned a group, Nigerian Online Publishers Association (NOPA)against parading itself as the body of Nigerian on-line publishers and dissociated its members from the latter which claims to be represent Nigerian online publishers.

In a statement on Wednesday October 30, OPAN, through its attorney, C. K. James Esq, alleged that the rival group is out to create confusion; and cautioned that any attempt at impersonation and misrepresentation by NOPA will precipitate a legal process to resolve the unfortunate fracas created.

“We therefore advise that any person(s) using the name (OPAN) for whatever purpose without due consent and authorization by the duly accredited officers of Online Publishers Association of Nigeria (OPAN) may be doing so at own risk and OPAN retains its right with regards to legal options,” the statement warned.
