Chief Francis Bullem, a businessman and entrepreneur, has commended the People’s Democratic Party (PDP for zoning the governorship position in 2015 to the northern senatorial district of Cross River.
Bullem, who stated this in Calabar Friday, said that the party’s position would allow the district to realise its age-long ambition.
According to the, a retired banker, the northern senatorial district of Cross River has personalities for sustained good governance of previous and current administration of the state. He also disclosed that it was the desire of stakeholders in the northern senatorial district to produce a governor endowed with “capacity, ability to maintain the peace’’ in Cross River.
He equally advised the electorate to ensure that the next governor of Cross River has the capacity to take governance beyond where the present administration of Gov, Liyel Imoke had reached.
“For us, we believe that that continuity, capacity, good governance is the key,” he said.
He also commended government “for the appointment of our sons and daughters into high profile national offices’’ by the present administration.
He listed such offices as the Executive Secretary National Planning Commission, member Niger Delta Development Commission and member Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission.
He also listed the office of member National Population Commission and Chairman Cross River State Subsidy Re-investment Programme (SURE-P) as some of the positions occupied by people of cross River north extraction.

Bullem also lauded Gov. Liyel Imoke of Cross River affording the northern senatorial district a strong representation of its sons and daughters in his cabinet.
He said that the unprecedented infrastructural development by Imoke across the state where the northern senatorial district has had a fair share should be sustained.
He said that the role played by Imoke in the zoning of the governorship position to the northern senatorial district by the PDP should be commended.
According to him the position has “satisfied the age old yearnings of our people to produce a governor of Cross River State’’.
He also advised the people of northern senatorial district of Cross River to remain united and firmly seek the support of other senatorial districts in order to produce a governor.
He said that when the quest for governorship is realised such a personality should sustain and build on the legacies of the present administration.
Bullem also said that he has an intention to run for the governorship of Cross River in 2015.
 He also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).for the timely release of the timetable for the 2015 elections.
