A landmark achievement for Nigeria’s agriculture was marked when bread made from 100 per cent Nigerian wheat was launched. The bread made from better adaptable breeds of wheat that produce more than twice per hectare of what was tried in the ’80s signaled a major break in Nigeria’s agricultural revolution and quest for food self sufficiency.
