A political support group in Bayelsa,  Grassroots Connect for Restoration (GrassCore) has warned opposition politicians against playing politics of blackmail and falsehood.

GrassCore faulted and dismissed claims of reported by Gov. Dickson with secret meetings with opposition party leaders and N26million bribe to INEC officials over the conduct of 2016 governorship election in the State.

The group described the allegation anti-party activity and bribery leveled against Dickson as laughable, wicked, lacking credibility and a desperate attempts by anti-development forces to destroy the existing relationship between the President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and Governor Seriake Dickson and plunge the state back to dark days of underdevelopment.

The National Coordinator of the Group,Hon. Nyenye Kuro, in a statement issued in Yenagoa on Wednesday announced  that Local Government and Ward chapters in the existing Eight Council Areas and Development centres in the state were recently inaugurated.
Kuro said  that though the race for 2016 has not began, the decision for the Bayelsa Governor,Hon. Seriake Dickson to seek re-election is based on performance and loyalty to the PDP and above all, the Almighty God.

Nyenye Kuro while reacting to an online report which claimed that Governor Dickson of Bayelsa has become desperate and is seeking unholy alliances with the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Former Governor,Timipre Sylva.
Kuro maintained that there was no iota of truth in the report and described it as an attempt to cause disaffection between Governor Seriake Dickson and President Goodluck Jonathan.

“The report is false and a calculated attempt by some few disgruntled elements to cause disaffection in the state.
“Governor Seriake Dickson, based on his performance index in the last two years, have shown loyalty to the PDP and the President.
“He has shown that through the construction of over 50 roads, bridges, across the three Senatorial district of the State.
“The President’s home state is transformed. The President’s commendations at different fora including the just concluded Investment and Business forum allude to this.” The statement read in part.

Kuro noted the performance of the Bayelsa Governor,Hon. Seriake Dickson and his loyalty to the President had compelled the caucus members of the PDP in the state to endorse him and the President for second term in office.
” The politicians involved in the campaign of calumny should know that the people of the state have been led out of years of underdevelopment and restored with emerging and completed infrastructure projects.
The implementation of the Bayelsa master plan, which is of  paramount interest to the President, is being delivered by the Dickson administration.” Kuro said.

On the alleged meeting between Governor Seriake Dickson and his predecessor,Timipre Sylva, the Coordinator of Grass Core, described it as a figment of the author’s imagination.
“Governor Seriake Dickson has shown the people of the state that, though he harbours no grudges against anyone, he will never take the state back into path of violence, disloyalty and failure.

“Governor Seriake Dickson has achieved more development in two years and a check will show you that the ongoing projects in the State, which are aimed at providing necessary platform for investors include; the Agge Deep seaport.
“Others are Cargo Airport, the opening up of the three senatorial districts, the World class diagnostic centre, multi billion naira 5-star hotel and a host of others.
“These projects, when completed will be of economic benefits and lure investors to the state.

“Within the two years of the administration state’s Internally Generated Revenue has grown from about N500 million monthly to N1 billion.’ He said.

The group also described the alleged gift of a luxury jeep to an official of INEC and bribe of N26million as false and frivolous.
