The Ebonyi State Commisioner for Information and State Orientation, Barrister Orji has described the relationship between the women and the men as one between essence and existence, noting that the State Governor, Chief Dave Umahi has lifted Ebonyi women beyond gender affirmative action.
Orji made the declaration during an empowerment Programme of the Spotlight Initiative sponsored by the UNPF and the office of the SA on Sustenable Development Goals, Dr Mrs Ngozi Obichukwu which held at the Orsborne Lapam Hotel and Resort, Abakaliki
He commended the efforts of the wife of the governor, Mrs Rachel Ogonna Umahi in the empowerment of Ebonyi women.
The Commissioner further commended the Governor Umahi for the laudable empowerment initiatives he engendered for Ebonyi Women, describing the effort as one of the greatest achievements of his administration that have lifted the cause of the women in the state immeasurably.
