Rivers Command Gets New Controller Of Corrections

The Newly-posted Controller of Corrections (CC), Rivers Command, Alex Odita, has taken over the mantle of leadership at the State Headquarters in Port Harcourt.

A statement on Tuesday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Juliet Ofoni, said Odita assumed duty on Monday after taking over from Assistant Controller General (ACG), Olumide Tinuoye.

According to the statement made available to the journalists in Port Harcourt, ACG Tinuoye has assumed office at Zone D, Minna.

Until his present posting to Rivers State Command, CC Odita was Controller in charge of Akwa Ibom Command of the Correctional service.

Odita holds a B.Sc in Management Studies from University of Jos, and M.Sc in Public Administration from Delta State University.

He served in various capacity in the service including Correctional Pay Officer, Cross River Command as well as Assistant Controller of Corrections in charge Operations, Lagos State Command.

Odita had been Deputy Controller of Corrections in charge Sapele Custodial Centre.

He also served as Deputy Controller of Corrections in charge Onitsha Custodial Centre, Special Assistant to Delta Government on Correctional matters and Controller of Corrections Zone ‘G’ Benin.

Odita, who hails from Delta, is married with Children.
