The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ahmed Abubakar Audi has warned Oil Industry Vandals to Quit or face the full weight of the Agency.
Audi spoke while on a working visit to the Rivers State Command Headquarters of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, in Port Harcourt, and it’s operational bases at Ogbogoro and Eriebe in Obio Akpo local government Area of Rivers.
Speaking , while parading over 40 Oil theives and other exhibits recovered during its covert operations in the State to Journalists the Commandant General said tough time awaits anyone who engages in Sea piracy,Vandalism of critical National infrastructuree especially bunkering describing such act as Economic sabotage .
While at Ogbogoro waterside, Audi was taken on a guided tour of the sea routes in company of some journalists.
They were also shown some ‘Cotounu boats’ seized from oil thieves while at Eriebe, the Commandant General warmed owners of oil tankers to desist from allowing their trucks to be used for illegal oil bunkering activities because any vehicle seized would be taken to court and auctioned to members of the public.
Earlier, the state Commandant of the NSCDC, Aliyu Bature, had told the Commandant General of the challenges within the state command and pleaded for increased logistics support to enable the state command to overcome.
