Ebonyi Monarch Kidnapped

The Tradition Ruler of Isuokoma Autonomous Community in Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Eze Ambrose Ogbu has been kidnapped.

 Africanewscircle gathered that the Monarch was last night kidnapped at his Isuokoma Palace, by a gang of suspected gunmen, yet to be identified.

 Sources close to the Palace said the kidnappers are yet to establish any contact with the Monarch’s family at the time ggof filing this report.

Ebonyi State Police Commissioner, Aliyu Garba who confirmed the incident in an interview with our correspondent in Abakaliki, said the gunmen ambushed the Palace of the Traditional Ruler and abducted him.

Mr Garba said his Command will expedite action to ensure the release of the Monarch, his Command will leave no stone unturned to ensure the release of the Monarch.

According to him, the gunmen on Wednesday night, ambushed the house of the Traditional Ruler and commanded him to enter into their vehicle and They till now, nobody knows his whereabouts.

 “This is very unfortunate, but our men have already swung into action and we will do our best to discover his location and ensure that he is reunited with his family”, the CP added.
