Gov. Rochas Okorocha
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the incumbent Governor of Imo State and the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial election flag-bearer, Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha, the winner of the Imo State Governorship election concluded on Saturday.
The electoral umpire also declared the the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate for Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu winner in the supplementary election conducted on Saturday. Dr Ikpeazu won having polled 264,173 votes ahead of Dr Alex Otti of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) who got 180,882 votes
Okorocha defeated Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following the supplementary election conducted on Saturday.
Okorocha polled 416,996 votes as against Ihedioha’s 320,705 votes.
